In the case of bad weather we can reschedule your booking to another date or refund you for the lawn bowls booking if you are unable to play at the time of the booking. Please note these are only valid options on the actual day and time your function is to commence and not prior to - we do not accept cancellations due to predicted weather patterns. Please see our terms and conditions for our weather policies.
FVBSC allows patrons to cook their own food on our barbecues, and patrons are welcome to bring their own food on-site.
FVBSC do not provide any BBQ equipment, oil, crockery, napkins, utensils or condiments for your function. These items will need to be organised by your group.
External catering is permitted; however, only caterers contracted by FVBSC are allowed on the premises. No outside caterers may operate on-site.
Food delivery services including UberEats, DoorDash and pizza delivery are not permitted at the venue.
We always offer crisps for purchase. Please check our catering page if you would like to order food for your group. Alternatively you may hire one of our BBQ’s and cook your own food on the premises.
Yes a tab can be set up on the day upon arrival at the main bar with a valid credit card and matching ID. Once your tab is set up we supply your group with coloured wristbands, which must be worn. We do not offer drink packages or subsidised drinks. Members cannot use their discount on group tabs.
Bowling rinks and private BBQ areas are allocated according to group size and operational needs, and these allocations may change up to the day of your booking.
If you require a specific area or rink due to accessibility needs, please inform the events staff when making your booking so this can be noted and accommodated where possible.
All areas are allocated by capacity rather than on a first‑in basis. The only space that can be selected directly is the combined Marquee/Deck/Bar area; all other bowling rinks and BBQ areas are assigned by the venue team.
No, FVBSC is a fully licensed venue, therefore outside beverages, including non –alcoholic beverages, are strictly prohibited. You will find our bar stocks a decent range of beers, non-alcoholic drinks and spirits at reasonable prices. Any liquids brought into the venue will be taken by our staff and will be put behind the bar for collection upon exit.
Yes, well behaved dog are welcomed. Please just keep your dogs under control at all times.
Unfortunately we do not offer private parking. There is limited side street parking outside of our venue and parking available in the eastern side of Edinburgh Gardens. We do have a tram stop outside our venue, which trams 11 stop at. Tram 96 also runs nearby our facility on Nicholson St. This tram stop is a 5 minute walk to our venue and is a good option for those coming from the city. Our facility is very family oriented and kids can play lawn bowls, too. However, when bowling we do require kids have adult supervision on the green.

Yes. Our club Has FOXTEL linked to 2 x HDTV’s and our large projector.
Both our greens are synthetic. Members and members from other bowling clubs have access to a member only green at the back of the property, while social functions and public walk-ins will be situated on the public green in-front of the club house to play lawn bowls.
Our venue is fully wheelchair accessible, including on the green.
Making an online enquiry does not mean you have secured a booking. To secure a booking we require you to fill out our booking form and provide a deposit payment. You can call us and make an appointment to meet our friendly events staff to discuss your booking, and/or come along for a site inspection to gain a better understanding of our property. Please note we do not accept tentative bookings.
All groups that exceed 12 are required to book an area due to OH&S, emergency entry and exit access and to ensure all footpaths are clear and congregation limited.
There is limited seating at the ends of the rinks, so the private BBQ area provides space for your group to congregate when not actively bowling and provide a place to relax, socialise, and for you to have your food.
